Michael Lewis

Born in eastern Pennsylvania coal country, Michael grew up in Episcopal churches there and in western New York. He graduated from the College of William and Mary and spent most of his professional life as a journalist, working for various newspapers and business-to-business publications. For nearly 30 years, he lived and worked in Los Angeles, writing, editing and teaching. He relocated to Lexington in 2021 and retired in 2023. He started attending Good Shepherd in January 2023. He helps run the “Faith Stories” video project, serves as a lector/intercessor and usher at the 5 p.m. service, and recently started making Eucharistic visits to church members who are not able to attend to services.
