Vision
To create, cultivate and sustain a safe space for teenagers to explore their faith, ask questions, give voice to their fears and have fun!
What to Expect
During our time together, we will play some games, get to know one another, engage in a brief Bible Study and HAVE FUN!

Winter Ski Retreat
January 9-11
Registration is OPEN for our 2026 EYC Winter Ski Retreat to Winterplace! Click the button below for more information and to register!
We will depart from Good Shepherd at 1pm on Friday, January 9th. That evening we will go snow tubing once we arrive. On Saturday, we will ski all day and into the evening at Winterplace Ski Resort. On Sunday, we will leave in the morning to return to Lexington. Both nights we are there we will go to the sports complex where there are games, bowling, and swimming/hot tub.
The total cost is $350 which includes transportation, lodging, food, and ski rentals.

Creative Space
Creative Space takes place every Sunday from 4-5pm in the Bishop’s House (536 Sayre Ave). Our vision is to cultivate a vibrant community where every student discovers and embraces their unique spiritual gifts. Our mission is to cultivate a nurturing environment that encourages creativity, self-discovery, and personal growth. During this time we have 3 Areas of Focus:

Trunk-or-Treat
On October 30th, Good Shepherd is hosting a Trunk-or-Treat for Good Shepherd children and families! We need youth help for several planned activities. If your student is available from 5-7pm to help us facilitate an activity for children, please come to the parking lot on Thursday, October 30th at 5pm!
*Note: The event will take place from 5:30-6:30pm

Sunday Night Meal Rotation
Would you consider providing a meal for our Sunday Night EYC gathering? Each Sunday at 5pm, the youth gathers in the Undercroft for a shared meal. As a host, you will set up and, if your time allows, stay for the meal! After everyone finishes, students can help you clean up and carry anything you need out to your car.

TAKE 5
Hey 5th Graders, come join us for TAKE 5! Each Sunday during the 10am Children's Chapel time, GoodShepEYC will provide an additional program offering. The vision is to connect 5th Graders to the Gospel. The mission is to teach the students how to identify the principles of the appointed Scripture in the Gospel, so that they can apply them to their lives.
Hey youth! Come to Sunday School to prepare for the lesson each Sunday, and then come join us to help lead during Take5.

Join us for Sunday School in the Youth Suite at 9:00am! Grab a donut from upstairs, and come on down! This program is for both Middle and High School.
Each week we study the readings following the Lectionary that we will hear in church.

Middle and High School are invited to join in a time of food and fellowship, as well as discussion that centers on the Christian faith as it intersects with their lives.

Here is more information on each Area of Focus:
Jam Band: In this area, creativity and collaboration harmonize, thus empowering students to express themselves through music. We cultivate a safe and inspiring space where budding musicians can come together to share their unique voices, learn from one another, and create original songs that resonate with their formation experiences. Together, we will amplify the joy of making music and unlock the limitless potential of young artists.
Drama and Media: This area explores the transformative power of the Gospel brought to life through the art of storytelling. Guided by the principles of scripture, we commit to crafting drama scripts that illuminate the profound truths of faith, hope and love. Our mission is to seek divine inspiration in every narrative, allowing the beauty of the Gospel to resonate through creative expressions in drama and media arts.
Youth Choir: This area is designed for youth who simply love to sing! More than just a traditional 'choristers' group, our Youth Choir is a weekly opportunity for young singers to connect with the songs of our tradition. Every Sunday, they grow their love for music and sharpen their vocal talent.

Every Sunday, our Middle and High School students gather for a shared meal in the Undercroft. We are looking for volunteers to provide these meals. If you are interested in serving in this way, click the link below to sign up!

EYC’s ‘Tuesday’s @ 2’ is an afternoon for ice-cream and adventures! We meet in the church parking lot at 2:00pm and walk as a group to a nearby ice-cream shop. We will likely find a fun activity after ice-cream at a park or community center. Wear comfortable walking shoes and bring a water bottle! Pick up is at 5:00pm in the parking lot.
