Almighty and everliving God, ruler of all things in heaven and earth, hear our prayers for this parish family. Strengthen the faithful, arouse the careless, and restore the penitent. Grant us all things necessary for our common life, and bring us all to be of one heart and mind within your holy Church; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
Joys
Rebekah and Jerod Crockett welcome a new baby boy. We give thanks for the birth of Wendell Crockett on August 25. Happy big brother is Ellison.

O God, you have taught us through your blessed Son that whoever receives a little child in the name of Christ receives Christ himself:
We give you thanks for the blessing you have bestowed upon the Crockett family in giving them a son. Confirm their joy by a lively sense of your presence with them, and give them calm strength and patient wisdom as they seek to bring this child to love all that is true and noble, just and pure, lovable and gracious, excellent and admirable, following the example of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Amen.
Bob and Mary Tyng Atkinson welcome a new great grandchild. We give thanks for the birth of Samson Clay Eades on August 18 to Hailee and Blake Eades.

Jane and Terry Samuel are happy to announce the birth of their first grandchild. Olive Liette Matherly was born on July 30 to Elizabeth and Jesse Matherly. Aunts Kate and Emma join the family in their joy.

David Deep, father of Charles and Kevin Deep and former husband of Betsy Deep, died on August 21 after a lengthy illness. Please keep his family held close in your prayers.

Good Shepherd member, Annie Huguelet, died peacefully at home on August 28th in the arms of her husband, Guy. Please keep the Huguelet family in your prayers. Visitation will be held at Milwards-Broadway, 159 North Broadway from 4 - 7 pm on Thursday, September 4. The funeral service will be held at Good Shepherd on Friday, September 5 at 11 am.
