Joys and Sorrows
Almighty and everliving God, ruler of all things in heaven and earth, hear our prayers for this parish family. Strengthen the faithful, arouse the careless, and restore the penitent. Grant us all things necessary for our common life, and bring us all to be of one heart and mind within your holy Church; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
Joys
Emily and Chase Fairchild welcome a new baby girl. We give thanks for the birth of Cassidy Fairchild born on July 28. Big sister is Zoe.

O God, you have taught us through your blessed Son that whoever receives a little child in the name of Christ receives Christ himself:
We give you thanks for the blessing you have bestowed upon the Fairchild family in giving them a daughter. Confirm their joy by a lively sense of your presence with them, and give them calm strength and patient wisdom as they seek to bring this child to love all that is true and noble, just and pure, lovable and gracious, excellent and admirable, following the example of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Beloved parishioner Shirley Wiseman died on August 23. Please keep her son Larry McVay held close in your prayers. Arrangements are pending. An obituary can be found HERE.

For Those who Mourn

George Zack, long time (former) Good Shepherd parishioner died on July 12. Please keep the Zack family held close in your prayers. A memorial service will be held at St. Christopher’s Episcopal Church in Carmel, Indiana on Friday, September 18 at 4 pm. A celebration of life will be held in Lexington on Sunday, September 20 at 1:30 at Haggin Auditorium on Transylvania University’s campus. An obituary can be found HERE.
