Lifelong Learning
Formation is a life-long process starting at the time we are born and continuing all throughout our lives. It is a spiritual journey. The Christian Formation Program at Good Shepherd has something for every age and every level of knowledge, exploration, and growth.

We offer several opportunities each week for you to engage in formation:

Our Young Adult group is an eclectic group of ‘young’ individuals. Our group ranges from 22-40… we believe if you feel that you are a young adult, then you are! We welcome all!
Join Zac and friends for an Applied Bible Study on Wednesday evenings at 6:00pm in the Library or via Zoom. Scroll further for more information.
Our Young Adult Women typically meet once a quarter. Our activities range from paint night to dinner out on the town. We communicate our offerings via GroupMe. If you are interested in being a part of this group, please contact Emily.
Our College students gather sporadically. Zac will connect with this group via text to schedule an offering. Sometimes it’s lunch after church or a round of billiards after class! Contact Zac if you’re interested!

Once a year, we will host an Episcopal Exploration Class to learn more about Good Shepherd and the larger Episcopal Church.

Sunday Rector's Bible Study: The Way of Jesus
Join us Sunday mornings at 9:15am for Rector’s Bible Study in the Undercroft. We will take a deeper look at the Gospel appointed for the day. What is Jesus up to and how might we apply his teachings to our own real world lives?

Building Blocks with Rev. Emily
*We will resume meeting on May 10th
Rev. Emily leads this formation series called ‘Building Blocks’. During each liturgical season we will take on a “building block” of our faith. We are currently reading and discussing the stories of the Bible! We will meet in the Library and via Zoom on Sundays at 9:15am.

Centering Prayer
Monday at 5pm; Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday at 12pm
Centering Prayer is a form of silent prayer (meditation) which invites us to rest in silence to deepen our relationship with God. Fr. Hendree will lead a discussion of the work and writings of the Christian mystics. We will read a variety of mystics over the course of the year.

Healing Ministry Bible Study

Join Rev. Emily on Tuesday evenings at 6pm in the Library (or via Zoom) to dive into healing in the scripture. We study the healing miracles of Jesus to give some scriptural basis and understanding to our healing ministry. All are welcome!

Moms' Ministry
Our Moms’ Ministry gathers the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays of each month at 8:45am. This ministry provides a nurturing space for mothers to gather for friendship, support, and spiritual growth in the midst of motherhood. We meet in the Bishop’s House (536 Sayre Ave).

The Men’s Breakfast is open to all men of the parish. This is a wonderful opportunity for all generations to meet and share a meal together! We gather in the Undercroft.

Daughters of the King
First Sunday│11:30am
Daughters of the King is an international order of women who pledge themselves to a life of prayer, service, and evangelism. The Daughters strive to fulfill the promises of their Baptismal Covenant through a personal Rule of Life which incorporates a Rule of Prayer and a Rule of Service. They pray daily for members of our parish and others who have made requests.
"Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly; teach and admonish one another in all wisdom; and with gratitude in your hearts sing psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs to God."
