Rector’s Applied Bible Study
Applying the fruits of our study to our actual, everyday lives.
-
What is it?
We dive into the bible stories and look for ways that we can use what we find in our own real-life stories. We open with a few minutes of meditation, so this is a great place to learn about contemplative practice. Why “Applied”? Our aim is to Apply the fruits of our study to our actual, everyday lives.

Current Study
Sunday: We read the Gospel reading appointed for that day.
Wednesday: Starting January 7th, we will begin reading Ruth.
Our next book will be the Old Testament book of Ruth. Ruth is a powerful female figure in the lineage of Jesus. She is David’s great-grandmother and a living symbol and example of loving-kindness. All are welcome to join us as we begin a new book in the Wednesday morning contemplative Bible Study.

All are Welcome to join! We keep a relatively slow reading pace, so no matter where we are in the scripture, you can jump right in!

Is there a catch?
Absolutely not. Come when you can; don't come when you can't. Come late; leave early. No pressure, no judgment (the world offers plenty of those two things).
You are free to come exactly as you are. The readings will prompt different questions for each of us; so, ask away or just listen. There are no stupid questions.
All are Welcome!
