Susan Denomme

Susannah retired in 2022 from a 44 year career at the University of Kentucky. Her experience included county and state level work in the Cooperative Extension Service as well as philanthropic work on behalf of the College of Agriculture, Lexington Community College, the Markey Cancer Center and the College of Medicine and overall leadership for UK’s fundraising programs during the university’s recent $2.1 Billion capital campaign.  Along with Jennifer Mynear, a major philanthropic volunteer, Susannah co-founded UK’s  DanceBlue, a student-led program that has raised over $25 million dollars to date for Kentucky patients and families dealing with a diagnosis of childhood cancer.  Susannah and her husband of 43 years, Mark, have two adult children and three grandchildren whom they visit often in the Bay area of California. Susannah and Mark joined and were confirmed in the Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd in 2020 and have been joyfully involved in Reading the Mystics, Alter Guild and various outreach ministries.
