Terry Samuel
I was raised in Massachusetts in the Congregational Church. I moved to Kentucky in 1985, and when Jane and I married three years later, we began attending St. Raphael's. In 1999, we moved to Good Shepherd and have raised three girls here. I have served on Vestry, on the Search Committee that brought Fr. Hendree to Good Shepherd, have been the Day School Board President (twice), was a founding member of the Men's Breakfast Group, led Stewardship efforts for several years, serve as a lay-reader and have served in other capacities within the parish. For the past several years, Jane and I have become regular attendees of the 8:00 am service and have found a new community there, though have missed the regular connections with attendees at the other services. One goal for my service through Vestry is to strengthen connection across all of our members.
In my professional capacity, I lead a statewide nonprofit organization which operates in the economic development space. Our three girls are all (currently) living around Lexington and we welcomed our first grandchild this past summer.
