Love Heals

John 11:25-26

The healing miracles of Jesus are amazing and heartwarming, but they can also be disheartening if you pray for a miracle and don’t get one. The power of the miracles is not in the effect they have on disease, it’s in the effect they have on you when you realize that your illness, misfortune, or sadness doesn’t have the power to name you or claim you. The true, deep healing power of love is that it reminds you that you are God’s beloved child no matter what may befall you. A woman said, “Cancer doesn’t have me, God’s got me.” She was healed even though she died.

Healing is remembering you belong to God.
