Vestry/Rector Tasks

Ensure that the church has the resources to do ministry
Ensure congruence of ministry with core values and mission
Establish and strengthen relationships with each other in the understanding that the body of the congregation is the “temple of God.” 1 Cor. 3

Vestry members will connect with new church members:
a. Write/call to welcome them within 7 - 10 days of being notified by the church office that we
have a new member
b. Connect in person with the new member(s)
c. Connect the new member with an established church member

2. Vestry will host at least 2 newcomer events in 2026

3. Hold an annual Spiritual Retreat for Vestry members.

4. Continue to maintain and monitor congruence with Good Shepherd’s 5 Core Values in our work as a vestry.

In December of 2026 we will engage in a Review/reflection on our journey with our goals for the year.
