Thus begins St. Teresa of Avila’s masterpiece, The Interior Castle, in which she draws a narrative map of the territory of your own soul. Each dwelling (sometimes called Mansions) has countless rooms. She gives us just a taste of what a room(s) in each dwelling is like. The map winds inward to the discovery of the divine spark within and our union with God in love. This outline of important things and key points is a guide for our journey as we read this marvelous mystic together. These are my notes. I encourage you to make your own. Read slowly and enjoy!
