Anisa Willis
The Rev. Anisa Willis was born and raised in Paintsville, KY, and attended Rhodes College, Yale University Divinity School, and the University of Kentucky College of Social Work. She completed a CPE residency at UK Chandler Medical Center. Prior to her ordination, she worked as a therapist with child and adult victims of interpersonal violence, abuse, and neglect at Mountain Comprehensive Care Center in Pike County, KY.
Mother Anisa served as Curate of Holy Trinity, Georgetown, KY, and Rector of The Church of the Advent, Cynthiana. While living in Northern Kentucky, she served as a Chaplain at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center and as a Priest Associate at St. Paul’s, Newport. She has served in various volunteer capacities in the Diocese of Lexington, as an elected board member for Beechwood Schools, and as a CASA, among other volunteer roles.
Anisa is passionate about all aspects of healing: physical, emotional, and spiritual. She also loves spending time with her family (her husband Kevin and her 20-something sons John and Nicholas) and dogs (Pepper and Peanut).
