We all want to grow spiritually and go deeper in our relationship with God. The spiritual practice of sacrificial financial giving is one of the ways that we grow in our faith. When we give some measure of our treasure back to God through the ministry of the church, we express both our deep gratitude for the gift of life and our dependence on God for all that we have and all that we are. Many of us have made the journey from being “token givers” to sacrificial givers who make a considered and prayerful pledge to the annual budget of Good Shepherd Church. “Token givers” make a donation when they think about it out of whatever is left over. When we shift to recognizing that giving is a vital part of our spiritual journey, we grow exponentially in our faith journey. Each household of the church is invited to prayerfully consider what portion of your income you will pledge to the ministry of the church. The church budget is a powerful tool for ministry. The worship, formation, and outreach ministries of Good Shepherd spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ both near and far as we proclaim together that - Love is all! Committed giving in the form of an annual pledge is the heart beat of our parish. By the power of our pledges we put the ministry of the church into motion. How wonderful is that?!  What are you called to give back to God through the ministry of the church in thanksgiving for our love-drenched lives?

There are two questions before each one of us.

The first is, what portion of my financial resources am I called to offer to God through the ministry of the church’s Annual Budget?

The second is, what is God calling me to give to the parish hall project as a 3-year pledge to the Building

Together Capital Campaign?

If your household needs to choose one of these giving opportunities, please choose a pledge to the Annual Budget.

You will have the opportunity to fill out pledge cards for both the 2026 Annual Budget and the Building Together Campaign during worship at all three services on Commitment Sunday, November 9th. Join us for a catered parish lunch at Ashland Elementary School directly following the 10 a.m.

worship service.
