Meister Eckhart, from Whom God Hid Nothing: Sermons, Writings, and Sayings
Meister Eckhart
January-March│Meister Eckhart
Our next mystic is the one with whom we started our journey in the Mystics Reading Group - Meister Eckhart. He is a 13th century German mystic. Meister Eckhart is a teacher and preacher whose teachings are an adventure in nuance and challenge. All of his work is grounded in two main ideas: the absolute union of God and the human soul and detachment. The difficulty of his teaching causes us to move slowly through his work, but the yield of our efforts is a sense of freedom and love that few imagine possible this side of paradise. All are welcome to come join us on the journey with Meister Eckhart. We will use this book as our primary text. Click the link below to purchase a copy!
