Wash Feet

John 13

Jesus says, Love each other like I love you. Jesus loved by letting go of pride, self-consciousness, and ego. He lowered himself to the feet of his friends and loved them by washing the dust from between their toes. Washing feet didn’t embarrass him; he was driven by love only to serve. Nothing is below Jesus because he is not worried about appearances. Say this, “God, help me forget myself and descend into servant love. Amen.”

Humility heals.
