This Christmas service dates back to the 19th century and entails spoken lessons and sung carols. With the candle-light flickering and the beautiful carols sung by our angel choir, this night brings the hope and joy that we experience awaiting Jesus’ birth. Join us for this special occasion on December 21st at 5:00pm.
The Pre-Service Concert for Lessons and Carols begins at 4:30 p.m. Featured performers will include Kay’mon Murrah, who recently became our Voice Teacher for Congregational Singing at Good Shepherd. Kay’mon will sing an excerpt from Messiah by Handel, for which he was recently a featured soloist in three sold-out performances at Duke University.
Other performers include Alicia Helm McCorvey, her daughter Julia on violin, Rebecca Price on cello, Carolyn Dupont on harp, and Frank Espinosa who is also singing an excerpt from Messiah.
